Hong Kong stocks closed up 197.26 points, or 0.86 percent, at 23,244.35 on Wednesday.


The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 23,270 and 23,156.26. Turnover totaled 65.08 billion HK dollars (8.39 billion U.S. dollars).
