Foreigners dodging fares and taking bikes into Shanghai Metro station stopped

Three foreigners who insisted on taking their bikes into a local Metro station on Saturday were stopped and warned, Shanghai Metro management said on Wednesday.
Local Metro regulation bans passengers from taking bikes into Metros.
The Metro managers added that the three foreigners also did not buy tickets.
A security footage about the incident has been made public. The Metro authority said at about 11:30am on Saturday at the Longhua Road Station on Line 7, the trio jumped over the turnstiles to enter the station, all carrying their bikes. A metro worker persuaded them to leave and opt for other transport means, according to the Metro authority.
But the worker was "rudely ignored", said Metro authority without further detailing.
The trio had carried the bikes to the Metro platform but left after a passenger stood up and warned them in English, Metro authority said.
