牛津字典宣布电子水烟(vape)成为2014年度新词.牛津词典编辑部表示,电子水烟(vape) 已经成为了主流用词,2014年的使用量比去年翻了一番.电子烟是仿照香烟制成的电子雾化器具,该产品通过内置的雾化器产生雾气,令使用者吸入雾化后的尼古丁.骤眼看犹如同吸烟,但是过程中产生的并不是烟,而是水雾.


Oxford Dictionaries has named "vape" as the word of the year, according to media reports. Researchers found that use of the word vape, meaning to inhale from an e-cigarette, has doubled in a year. This reflects the popularity of e-cigarettes, a device that contains nicotine but not tobacco, and produces vapor instead of smoke.
