据央视新闻消息，乌鲁木齐市中级人民法院今天对乌鲁木齐火车南站"4•30"暴恐案和公园北街"5•22"暴恐案一审宣判。"4•30"暴恐案被告人艾合麦提•热西提、"5•22"暴恐案被告人阿卜力孜•达伍提等共8人判死刑，另有5人死缓，4人无期和有期徒刑。[查看全文]

A Xinjiang court sentenced eight people to death on Monday in connection with two terrorist attacks that occurred in April and May in the regional capital of Urumqi.


Following their first trial, the Intermediate People's Court of Urumqi also sentenced another five people to death with a two-year reprieve, and four others were sentenced to imprisonment, according to the local publicity department of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.


Xinjiang saw its bloodiest day in five years on May 22 when 39 people were killed and 94 were injured in an attack on a market in Urumqi. On April 30, three people were killed and 79 were injured in a terror attack at a railway station in the city.
