Two villagers stand in front of a wooden Diaojiaolou, or stilted house founded in the Qing Dynasty in Shiyanping Village, Wangjiaping Township of Zhangjiajie City in central China's Hunan Province. The Shiyanping Village, located in the southeast of Wangjiaping, is one of the regions in Hunan where stilted houses are well preserved. With a toal of 182 existing stilted houses of the Tujia ethnic group, the village was listed as the seventh batch of important heritage sites under state protection in 2013. (Xinhua/Shao Ying)
