Top political advisor wants sound proposals

Political advisors in China have been told to come up with sound proposals through in-depth learning, the country's top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng said on Tuesday.


Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), made the remarks while attending an opening ceremony of a three-day seminar in Beijing.


The seminar is the first of its kind for the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC, with 300 new political advisors in attendance.


Yu described in-depth learning as an important way to consolidate political advisors' ideological and political foundations, as well as to better fulfill their duties.


Yu asked them to learn from the grassroots to put forward effective proposals for the Communist Party of China and governments at all levels.


He also stressed the effectiveness of learning based on exchanges and communication.
