In Hong Kong, a traditional dish named "Poon Choi" is a must-have during the Spring Festival. "Poon Choi" literally means big bowl feast, because it is served in wooden, porcelain or metal bowls.

It was said that Poon Choi was invented more than 700 years ago in the Song Dynasty. To serve the last emperor of the dynasty, who fled to Hong Kong, the locals collected all the big wooden washbasins and put everything they could find that was delicious in it. And so Poon Choi was invented, now a celebratory dish linked closely to Chinese New Year.

To cook this dish is a test of your culinary skills. This restaurant is the first in Hong Kong to add Poon Choi to their menus. Many chefs have been working here for more than 20 years, and they are good at cooking Poon Choi.

Poon Choi includes many ingredients such as pork, beef, abalone, ginseng, fish maw, prawn, crab and many others. It usually takes several days to prepare and hours to cook.

Poon Choi is composed of many layers of different ingredients. It is also eaten layer by layer instead of stirring everything up.

For 1,400 yuan you can eat this dish and share it with around 10 others.
