The festival has been held in March and April annually since 1991 in Nanhui. The area has more than 3,300 hectares of peach trees — the most in eastern China. Nanhui is along the coast of the East China Sea, providing beautiful views of coastal towns and peach orchards. Visitors may also be interested in trying some rural food or catching a dragon dance or Jiangnan sizhu (an old stringed and woodwind instrument) performance.
