Officials involved in 99 breaches of the Communist Party of China's (CPC) code of conduct were named by the Party's top discipline watchdog Thursday.
The violations, published on the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) website, included accepting bribes, embezzlement of public funds and charging unauthorized fees.
Tang Hailong, former head of Longshui Police Station in Quanzhou County of Guangxi, was stripped of his Party membership for accepting 27,600 yuan (4,249 U.S. dollars) from others. Tang is now the subject of a criminal investigation.
Other wrongdoers received punishments ranging from warnings, demotion, expulsion from the CPC to removal from office. Cases involving criminal liability have been transferred to judicial organs.
