Beijing temple turns to robot to promote Buddhism

Robot Xian¡¯er works at the Longquan (Dragon Spring) Temple in Beijing. Standing about 60cm high and dressed in a yellow robe, the AI-enabled robot has been developed by the temple with artificial intelligence experts and is able to sense its surroundings and engage in basic discussions about Buddhism. The temple also plans to build a new version of the robot with more intelligent functions. (Photo: The Beijing News)
