Beijing (CNS) -- China's economic growth is expected to slow down because of imbalances in its economic structure, according a report released Saturday by the Development Research Center of the State Council.

China's economy developed at an average annual growth rate of 9.9 percent between 1978 and 2010, the report said. However, such an economic miracle will be hard to repeat in the future because of imbalances in China's investment/consumption pattern and its income distribution system.

The decreased growth potential caused by shrinking infrastructure investment and the changing pattern of labor supply and demand also indicates slower growth, said the report.

The report pointed out that although China's economy will not grow as fast, the accumulated economic experience, technology and wealth from the past three decades will still support economic development.

China's economy will grow by 8.25 percent this year, the report predicted.
