People of the Qiang ethnic group celebrate Wari'ezu Festival in Maoxian County, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, June 12, 2013. For thousands of years, there has been a convention among Qiang people, namely, to offer sacrifices to Sister Salang, the Goddess of Dance and Song. Every three years, Qiang people will get together and hold Wari'ezuconventional activities from May 3rd to May 5th in the lunar calendar. Since it is the only convention for Qiang females, it is also named by local people as Women's Day. [Photo: CNS/An Yuan]
