An exhibition on Roman Empire antiques will be held in the ancient city of Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province from Sept. 1 to Nov. 29.

About 300 antiques dating back to 100 BC from three museums of Tuscany, Italy will be displayed in the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, where China's first emperor and terra-cotta warriors and horses were buried.

The antiques include coins, potteries, sculptures, sarcophaguses, bronze wares and jewelries, depicting the life during the Roman Empire, according to the museum on Saturday.

As an ancient capital for 13 dynasties, Xi'an has seen Chinese civilization evolve from generation to generation. It is also a major economic and cultural center in the country's vast west.
