Kerry starts visit to Beijing

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is due to kick off a visit to China later today.
He will be in Beijing for a discussion with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, on issues of bilateral ties and other issues of mutual concern.
Earlier Chinese ambassador to the United State Cui Tiankai revealed that the situation in the South China Sea will also be a topic on the table.
Kerry is also expected to discuss the preparation work for Chinese President Xi Jinping's US visit scheduled for September, as well as the next round of strategic and economic dialogue between the two countries this summer.
After his time in Beijing, Kerry is due to visit South Korea on Sunday.
