Chinese visitors have become the largest buyers among foreign visitors to Vinexpo in Bordeaux, the largest international exhibition of wine and spirits which closed its door Thursday in the French city of Bordeaux, the organizer Vinexpo said in a press release.

According to provisional statistics from the organizer Vinexpo, the number of Chinese visitors to the Fair has increased by 14 percent over the first four days of the Show compared to whole period of the 2013 edition.

It is noted that it is always the professional visitors, which mean buyers, which are counted in the statistics, the director of press department of Vinexpo Anne Cusson said.

The United States, as country guest of honor this year, occupies the second place with a 14.5 percent increase in the number of buyers, said the statement.
