Domestic hit 'Goodbye Mr. Loser' rules China's box office

"Goodbye Mr. Loser," a domestic romance comedy about a man's journey to find true love, ruled China's box office in the week ending Oct. 11, pulling in 632.4 million yuan (99.5 million U.S. dollars).
The film has grossed about 903 million yuan since opening on September 30, China Film News reported Sunday.
"Lost in Hong Kong," a domestic comedy, came in at a respectable second place, with 221.9 million yuan during the week.
"Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribe," an action-thriller by Lu Chuan, the director of "City of Life and Death," came in third, earning 193.6 million yuan in the week. It has grossed about 639.9 million yuan since opening on Sept. 30.
Fourth place went to "Inside Out," an animated fantasy, which earned 78.2 million yuan in the week. It was released October 6.
Rounding out the top five was "Saving Mr. Wu," a domestic crime drama, which pulled in 74.6 million yuan in the week. Its total ticket sales hit 171 million yuan after opening on Sept. 30.
