防雾霾口罩

Lei said his group is pushing for a national standard for anti-smog face masks, echoing calls last week by the China Consumers Association.


中国纺织品商业协会副会长雷利民表示他的组织正在促使防雾霾口罩国家标准的出台,他的行动响应了上周中国消费者协会的呼吁.


防雾霾口罩的英文表达是anti-smog face mask,现在大街上戴口罩的,既有戴声称可以防PM2.5颗粒的3M N95 face mask（3M牌N95型口罩）的人,也有戴disposable face mask（一次性口罩）的人.


消费者协会近日测试的37款口罩,只有9款在filtering particulate matter（过滤颗粒物）和 enabling easy breathing（呼吸顺畅）方面是达标的.自称能够隔离污染物的cotton masks with filters in them（夹带滤芯的纯棉口罩）据称也是无效的.


造成中国雾霾天气的主要污染源有cars, coal-burning power plants and outdated factories（汽车、燃煤发电厂和老旧工厂）,而这些污染源现在还在源源不断地向空气排放有害气体和物质.据估计,空气污染每年都会导致中国35万到50万例premature deaths（过早死亡）.
