China sees rising new business registration

The number of newly established firms continued to increase in China in the first half of the year, according to official data.
About 2.62 million new companies were registered from January to June, up 28.6 percent year on year, statistics from the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has showed.
Newly registered firms in tertiary industries jumped 30.2 percent from a year ago to 2.12 million, accounting for over 81.1 percent of total new registration in this period. Sectors including software, information technology, culture and entertainment saw the most robust increase.
China issued a series of policies to encourage startups in early 2014.
