(ECNS) -- A wildlife park in Beijing has denied putting two tigers to death after they killed one woman and injured another, Chinese language newspaper The Mirror reported.
The attack took place at Beijing Badaling Safari World on Saturday, when one woman stepped out of her car following an argument with a man in it. A Siberian tiger quickly attacked her and dragged her off, prompting her mother to leave the car in an attempt to help.
The mother died after she was mauled to death by another tiger. The daughter is now out of danger after treatment.
The park, which lies at the foot of the Great Wall, was ordered to close for "rectification" after the accident. One manager said both attacking tigers are now caged.
A source close to the injured woman's husband said the woman left the car because she thought they drove out of the park, which allows visitors to drive their own cars in a safari style at an open space where animals roam free.
