Swords conferred upon naval academy graduates

Recent graduates from the People's Liberation Army Dalian Naval Academy received swords at their graduation ceremony. In 2008, the academy began to confer swords upon graduates, each one featuring a carving of the graduate's name. The tradition was started to encourage graduates to make more contributions to the navy. (Photo/81.cn)
