One person was killed and several others were trapped Tuesday morning after a suspected gas explosion underground a coal mine in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, local authorities said.
The suspected explosion occurred at a coal mine in Baijigou of Shizuishan City. A rescue operation is under way.
No further details of the accident are immediately known.
